SHEA BUTTER: GHANA

The Ojoba Women's Collective

In March 2018, Reece met and captured the women of the Ojoba Collective in rural Ghana. The fair trade, social enterprise was co-founded to improve the lives of the women and their families through the production of Shea Butter. In doing so they're helping to combat climate change in re-greening the desert. The images shows the Ojoba Women’s Collective and the methods they use to fell, heat and extract the butters that go into the shea butter products of Lush Cosmetics.
